Yuzuru

Yuzuru is the first photo collection featuring Yuzuru Hanyu, a talented figure skater who took the gold medal home from the 2014 Winter Olympics. Although it also contains pictures taken during his competitions, cameraman Sunao Noto—coming from the same hometown, Sendai—focuses on his facial expressions, following his path from the time he was a 12-year-old novice through overcoming the Tohoku Earthquake in 2011 until his win in Sochi.
The book also features photos taken in Toronto, Canada during his training as well as off-shots. In this heart-warming collection, Noto captures a side to Hanyu one cannot help but adore.
