Ushio And Tora Complete Works Vol. 1

Ushio and Tora is the classic ‘90s manga written and illustrated by Kazuhiro Fujita which follows the adventures of Ushio Aotsuki who finds himself constantly followed around by a large tiger-like supernatural monster known as Tora. This happened because Ushio, whose family look after a 500-year-old temple, accidentally released Tora’s spirit which had been walled up inside a cave after one of Ushio’s ancestors used the famed Beast Spear to defeat him.
Ushio didn’t really want to free Tora, especially as the first thing Tora said he wanted to do was to eat him, but his presence kept bringing all sorts of other monsters to the temple. Tora decides not to eat Ushio because he keeps the spear near by, but as the pair battle a few other monsters together, Ushio starts to notice Tora isn’t as evil as he first claimed to be.
This first volume of the two books which complete the entire Ushio and Tora saga features not only the first half of this exciting story, but also includes a long interview with the author plus a Q&A session too! Japanese language edition.
