The Rising Of The Shield Hero Vol. 2

Naofumi Iwatani is an easygoing Japanese university student and otaku whose life is radically altered when he is suddenly summoned to another world in order to become one of the Four Cardinal Heroes after finding a mysterious book in the library. In this new world, he is tasked with fighting interdimensional monsters called Waves by becoming the Shield Hero. He’s not the only one, though – three other young men from parallel universes have also been summoned to the world to fight: one equipped with a sword, one a spear, and the other a bow.
Not long after setting out on his adventure though, his sole companion betrays him, stealing all of his supplies and belongings and leaving him without aid. Naofumi is forced to begin training on his own while working to make ends meet. Before long, he finds companions in a slave girl named Raphtalia and a bird-like monster named Filo. The three begin making a name for themselves through heroic feats as they work together, but can Naofumi complete his mission and become a savior of the world?
