Tanka March 2016

Tanka is an ancient form of classical Japanese poetry which is usually composed of five lines with a pattern of five, seven, five, seven, seven syllables. Tanka magazine is the monthly guide to this still much-loved artform, aiming to bring its charms even more into the modern world.
This March 2016 edition of Tanka features a conversation between Japanese literary critic and tanka poet Akiko Baba and haiku poetess Kiyoko Uda.
