Switch Vol. 30, No. 8 – Mamoru Hosoda Special Issue

Switch is a popular Japanese arts and culture magazine which covers all the latest goings on when it comes to films and animation. This issue Vol. 30 No.8 released in August 2012 is dedicated to one of Japan’s most talented animation directors working today – Mamoru Hosoda whose much loved movie Wolf Children had just been released. The magazine features a long interview with Hosoda plus interviews with Wolf Children’s voice cast including Aoi Miyazaki and Takao Osawa and comments from other members of the creative team including Yoshiyuki Sadamoto, Daisuke Iga and Chie Morimoto among others. There’s also a special conversation between Mamoru Hosoda and the mangaka Takehiko Inoue (Slam Dunk) and another with animation director Keiichi Hara (Colorful, Miss Hokusai) in addition to the exclusive Hosoda illustrated cover and the bonus CD featuring actress Aoi Miyazaki reading “Mirai no Kodomotachi e” (To the children of the future).
