Sweetness And Lightning Vol. 1

Kohei Inuzuka is a teacher who has been taking care of his daughter Tsumugi since his wife's death. The problem is he's a horrible cook and their diet consists mainly of pre-packaged meals from the local convenience store. That all changes one night when Kohei and Tsumugi find themselves in a restaurant run by the mother of one of his students, Kotori Iida, who herself is often alone following her parents' divorce and often must cook for herself, though she's bad at it and has a fear of knives. Inspired by Kotori, Kohei decides to take up cooking and all three of them begin meeting up to cook tasty food together.
Vol. 1 of this slice-of-life manga by Gido Amagakure includes chapters 1 to 5.5 and spans 184 pages.
