In 2012, the world is ravaged by a man-made virus which leaves only children under the age of 13 unaffected. Twelve-year-old orphan Yuichiro Hyakuya decides to escape from the Hyakuya Orphanage along with some of the other children, but many of them die in process and Yu’s own friend Michaela sacrifices his life so that Yu may escape. After being saved by the Moon Demon Company, an extension of the Japanese Imperial Demon Army, Yu vows to get revenge on the vampires that so cruelly killed his friends…
