The modern world has enjoyed an era of relative peace, but this wasn’t always the case. Three years ago, the world was attacked by extradimensional enemies called Disas, and humanity’s military might was powerless against them. When it looked like all hope was lost, fairies from the spirit world granted magical powers to a few human girls, and with those powers they stopped the Disas onslaught. One of these teenage schoolgirls, and leader of the Magical Five, is Asuka Otori.
Since that time, Asuka has happily left the battlefield to live an ordinary civilian life. But just when she thinks she’s out of the game, circumstances pull her back in. Three years after the last great Disas battle, war has changed. A handful of magical girls are now being hired by international crime syndicates in a war for money and power. These magical girls are employing black ops and terrorist tactics to achieve their endgame, and Asuka is the world’s best chance to bring peace and order to it once again.
In Vol. 11, the girls must tortue Tamara in order to undo her brainwashing. Meanwhile, the United Nations Security Council has decided to hold an emergency meeting, and Asuka and the other girls of the Magical Five will head to New York along with magical girls from around the world. However, at the same time, the evil hand of the Babel Brigade extends toward the girls…
