In the much loved anime franchise Love Live!, a group of high school girls decide to form an idol band to raise the profile of their school and try and stop it having to be closed down. This series of light novels, Love Live! School Idol Diary, takes the original story from the anime but retells it from the perspective of each of the nine μ’s members in turn. Maki Nishikino is the headline act for this fourth volume – the main vocal coach of the group, Maki is a talented pianist and singer but is determined to become a doctor and take over her parents’ hospital.
