Love Live! is the story of nine high school girls who come together to form an idol band in the hopes of making their school more popular so that it won’t have to be closed down. The Love Live! School Idol Diary series of light novels retells the same story as the anime from the point of view of each μ’s member individually and this ninth volume is the turn of Eli Ayase. Eli is the group’s choreographer and of partly Russian heritage which means she and her family have lived abroad for some time. Coincidentally, Eli’s grandmother also attended Otonokizaka Academy which is why Eli becomes such a strong believer in keeping the school alive.
