But he quickly realizes that fantasy life, and Aqua, aren’t all they’re cracked up to be! For one thing, she’s a useless goddess who spends all her stat points on lame party tricks, and for another thing, they’re flat broke! In search of work, the two settle in the beginner town of Axel where they meet an explosion-loving sorceress named Megumin and a swordswoman named Darkness who’s a total hopeless masochist! Together, the party begins taking on odd jobs as they eek out a living and maybe, eventually, will get around to going after the Devil King…maybe.
