Yui and the girls of the light music club enter their second year of high school, and the club gets a new member with rhythm guitarist Azusa Nakano, who tries to keep the girls on track despite their unwillingness to actually practice. As the girls spend their days together, they begin to get a handle on the problems that are holding them back, like Yui’s inability to read sheet music and Mio’s scaredy-cat nature. Bit by bit, the club begins to resemble a bona-fide band, and the girls’ trademark of getting together after school in the club room for tea and snacks gives rise to their band name, Ho-kago Tea Time!
