In the near future, a new technology that threatens the stability of the world has been created. IS, or Infinite Stratos, are high-tech powered exoskeletons with technology and combat capabilities that make them vastly superior to any other arms on the planet. Seeing the devastating potential of the weapon, nations enacted the "Alaska Treaty" to make sure they are never used for warfare and to ensure that the technology is even distributed to all nations in order to keep the peace. In Vol. 7, Ichika is confused by Tatenashi’s sudden request for him to team up with her sister, Kanzashi, and the other girls are not happy to hear that Ichika may be teaming up with another girl. However, when he asks her to join him, she refuses. In order to try and change her mind, he takes her out on a date, something the other girls definitely wouldn’t be pleased to hear about. Will Kanzashi decide to join him after all?
