Flowers Of Evil Vol. 10

Takao Kasuga is an introverted middle school student and bookworm whose favorite book is Baudelaire's Les Fleurs du Mal. He is infatuated with a girl in his class named Nanako Saeki whom he idolizes from afar as his muse. One day after school, he returns to his classroom alone after forgetting his book there and finds Nanako’s gym clothes, which he impulsively steals. Word begins spreading around school that a pervert stole Nanko’s clothes, and Takao is wracked with guilt and shame. Worse than that, though, is the fact that fellow classmate Sawa Nakamura, a cold, contemptuous girl whom everyone in class ignores, saw him in the act. In order to keep his secret hidden, he enters into a “contract” with her in which he must do anything she says, no matter how unreasonable.
In Vol. 10, Takao returns to his hometown for the first time in over 3 years to visit his ill grandfather. However, after what happened at the summer festival, his relatives aren’t happy to see him. While attending his grandfather’s funeral, his old classmate and Nanako’s best friend Ai appears. Takao decides to talk to her in order to settle his past, but is blindsided when she asks him if he wants to know where Sawa is.
