In a world where predators and prey alike coexist together, an uneasy, fragile peace exists between carnivores and herbivores. Legoshi is a large gray wolf with a timid and quiet personality who attends Cherryton Academy, a school for training students to become Beastars, those who are destined to rise to the top as leaders and unite the carnivores and herbivores. He is a member of the drama club which is headed by a red deer named Louis and he lives in a dorm with several other carnivores including Jack, an outgoing Labrador Retriever and his closest friend. One night, an alpaca and member of the drama club named Tem is brutally murdered, and Legoshi suddenly finds himself to be suspect No. 1! Eager to clear his name, he begins an investigation to track down the real culprit. Meanwhile, he begins having feelings for a white rabbit named Haru. But since she’s an herbivore and he’s a carnivore, would it even work out?
