Attack On Titan: Before The Fall Vol. 5

Written by Ryo Suzukaze with illustrations by Satoshi Shiki, Attack on Titan: Before the Fall is the manga adaptation of a series of light novels serving as a prequel to Hajime Isayama’s Attack on Titan.
The story is set 70 years before the original. It follows two stories: one focusing on Angel Aaltonen, the inventor of the Vertical Maneuvering Equipment used to fight Titans, and one focusing on Kuklo (the “Titan’s son”), a boy found in Titan vomit who goes on to join the Survey Corps.
Kuklo and Cardina are captured outside the Walls by Jorge Pikale, the first man to defeat a Titan, in volume 5! This volume covers chapters 14 through 17 in Japanese and an important secret about the Titans that may help Kuklo fight them.
