Animage is one of the longest-running and best-known Japanese magazines focused on anime and entertainment news. First launched in 1978, Animage was the first home of Hayao Miyazaki’s Nausicaa manga as well as Saeko Himura’s Ocean Waves which was also adapted into a TV animated movie by Studio Ghibli.
